Avocados are famous for their benefits to the human body, especially the heart. They are also known for the high levels of fiber and antioxidants that they contain. For the patients of dialysis, though, avocados are barely worth it.

This is because of the high potassium content. A single avocado has DOUBLE the amount of potassium of a banana. If you are told by your doctor to watch your potassium intake, you are advised to leave avocados, guacamole, etc. out of your diet.
